Dear Republican Leadership,
As we get deeper into this election year the Republican Women of Marion County are becoming more optimistic by the gains of the Republican Party and the caliber of the Republican candidates who are winning their places on the ballot. We look forward to the day we can reverse the damage that the current administration has done to this nation.
Meanwhile, we must keep up the fight against the many plans that the Obama administration wants to shove down the throats of the American people before they get booted out of power. These plans are many in number and it is hard to say which one is most dangerous. We want to see our representatives continue to fight Cap and Trade (no matter by which name they call it) including stripping the EPA of the power to set carbon limits. We want our representatives to fight the massive spending that has impoverished this county, etc. etc.
Foremost in our thinking at this time is our God given freedom of speech. Any political affiliation aside, Americans must be ever alert to anyone or any entity wanting to control what we say or hear be it radio, TV or internet. When we disagree with anything we hear we are still free to change the station. We have allies in talk show personalities who are educating the general population through these media. They must be protected. These talk shows are able to do research the ordinary citizen does not have the time to do. These personalities can be credited with some of the awakening of American people to their rights under our Constitution and how many of these rights are being ignored by this administration and Congress.
We cannot allow the takeover of the Internet by this administration and we ask that you, as our representatives, to do everything in your power to combat this. This administration is already centralizing power to the executive branch and taking over the internet will control the flow of information and can only lead to a dictatorship, not a republic.
Operation Speak out is the vehicle by which the Republican Women of Marion County, as part of the Republican base, make their views known to the Republican Leadership.
