Republican Women of Marion County

TO:   Our Republican Elected Officials and Republican Leadership            Nov. 9, 2009

FROM:   The Republican Women of Marion County  (Arkansas)

 Dear Republican Party Leadership

The Republican Women of Marion County as well as most of this nation have waited through the ten months of the present administration, and we are determined to say exactly what we mean.   We expect you our elected representatives and leaders speak for us, loudly, firmly and at every possible opportunity.   We know that you do this at risk to your careers, but we urge you to remember those men who pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor when speaking up for the rights that we have enjoyed as a nation.

We consider the following matters to be of the utmost importance:

 -         The federal budget deficit and resulting accumulated debt is intolerable.  We have to stop spending money we don’t have except for national security.
-         Expansion of government entitlements such as health care must stop.   This nation is bankrupt.    We have no money to pay for this.    Defeat this bill.
-         Our sovereignty is sacred.   We insist on refusing to sign the UN resolution on global warming.
-         The only stimulus we support is a broad general tax cut.
-         We strongly insist that ACORN and SEIU be removed from any involvement with our government, and permanently de-funded.
-         We insist that President Obama’s “czars” be removed from any decision making positions, as they hold philosophies diametrically opposed to those of this nation and its Constitution.

We believe  our nation is in dire danger.  We the Republican Women of Marion County agree with Jim O’Neill who said, “If there are still enough patriotic Americans who value personal integrity and freedom—there is a chance we can still turn this thing around, but it won’t be easy; far from it.   Make no mistake, if we lose this one, America and the world will sink into an abyss of tyranny for a very, very long time. “

Please do not ignore the wishes of the electorate who put you in your leadership positions.      The Republican Party must return to  conservative principles, because that is where the base is.     Right now the base is skeptical and fearful. .   When the Republican leadership leads in the right direction the base will follow.   We can thank that base, which has found its voice, for the defeats that the Obama administration has experienced.    We need to know and to see that our Republican leadership is going to fight for our freedoms which are slowly slipping away.
