Dear Republican Leadership,                                                     June 7, 2010

A great deal has happened since the Republican Women of Marion County issued our first Operation Speak Out statement in June of 2008.  Republicans lost the election that put the Obama administration in power, but we see a new unity in the Republicans in Congress in their battle against the onslaught threatening our freedoms.   The Tea Party came into existence and gives us comfort that the majority of the people of this country believe that this country must return to the Constitution and shrink the size of the government that is a real threat to our liberty.  We have had the "Freddie and Fannie" dabacle that led to the Mortgage debacle and then the Goldman Sacs debacle.

Now we ask our Republican State Legislators and the candidates for the State Legislature and other state offices to carry on the battle at the state level.  (We know that some are doing this already.)  We encourage you to follow the examples of the various many states such as Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona and Montana in introducing laws counteracting the intrusive Federal Government mandates or as in the case of Arizona the inaction in enforcing immigration laws.  We want you to fight big government, high taxes and interference into the private lives of the citizens of Arkansas such as that fournd in "Obamacare".  We know that the Republicans do not control the legislature but we also know there are many Arkansas citizens that do not like the direction of this nation and can pressure their representatives to do the right thing.   Fight on.

Operation Speak Out is the vehicle by which the Republican Women of Marion County, as part of the Republican base, make their views known to the Republican Leakership.
