Dear Republican Party Leadership 

The Obama administration’s  biggest proposed tax increase is the Cap & Trade system of requiring businesses to buy carbon emissions credits, and  the Republican Women of Marion County want our Republican Elected Representatives and leaders to fight this bill as it will cripple this nation.   

This  proposal  will do absolutely nothing to curb emissions.      Instead it  sets  up the trading  of these credits.    Big companies that don’t have enough credits will buy credits from those who have too many and enrich only those that are trading in these credits (i.e. Al Gore).     Remember Enron?  

All the cost of this phony trading will hit the pocket of the consumer in this country with a huge  tax   increase for the American people.      It will increase the cost of energy,  production and manufacturing.    It will burden small business and low income households and it will drive large manufacturing companies out of the country leaving small business to carry the burden, and that is to say nothing about the unintended consequences such as manufactured inflation.    If your electric bill doubles, will you want to plug in that electric car?

The Republican women of Marion County regard this  program as  one more  assault on the American people and their way of life  by the Obama Administration.    Our country is  already  in debt so far that  there is no chance of recovery for years to come.       With Cap and Trade along with  the proposed Health Care Bill,   the drive to take away the secret ballot for joining unions, the assault on freedom of speech that is proposed against “talk radio”, the Republican Women of Marion County believe  the Obama Administration will impoverish  this nation and at the same time take away their voice.  IT IS A SYSTEMATIC DISMANTLING OF THE AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE. 

The Republican Women of Marion County  demand that our elected officials fight this; it is their sworn oath.        We need to know that they are doing so.     Surely they are, aren’t they.        We can’t hear you.    Louder!    We need to fight the Obama Administration at all levels of government       Our only hope of recovery is going to be in a Republican Party that holds to conservative  values of  small government, low taxes, free markets and personal responsibility.   Get the government out of our lives  and then the ingenuity of the American people will be the solution.
